Mirby does it again.
"Educate" is yet another proof that she has a creativity and talent that reaches far beyond this country's borders. This feels like pop music with international scope – in sound, expression and ambition alike.
The production is playful, funky and full of confidence. The 80s references hit exactly right, but it's all wrapped in a modern, extremely well-produced expression where nothing feels accidental.
One of the things I really love about "Educate" is the many small details.
It's a track you can listen to again and again – and still discover new quirks in the production, little hooks and creative touches that keep the listening experience interesting over time.
At the same time, Mirby's visual universe plays perfectly together with the music. There's a clear aesthetic and a thoroughness that lifts the overall impression significantly. "Educate" is energetic pop with humor, edge and substance – and yet another strong step from an artist who's clearly on her way to something very big.
