ANKAH delivers a captivating debut album with “Under Dine Lukkede Øjne”
ANKAH is out with her debut album “Under Dine Lukkede Øjne” – eight Danish-language songs that move between R&B, neo-soul and pop. The album circles around the longing to get close to another person, and everything that can get in the way of intimacy.
The sound is very dreamy. It also has something so characteristic about it that you can hear it’s an ANKAH track within seconds.
I like how she plays with creativity and has a lot of different dynamics through the songs. It makes the album really nice to listen to as a whole. The songs circle around the same characteristic universe, but within it, there’s a lot of variety from track to track.
ANKAH also has a very unique voice, and some of her falsettos give me almost goosebump vibes.
“Under Dine Lukkede Øjne” is a dreamy and distinctive album – and as always when it comes to albums, I think you should listen to it from start to finish.
